About Us

Meet Bryn

Owner, NE Doula Support

I am a professionally trained labor and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and new parent educator.  My formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Human Development from Wheelock College and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Bank Street Graduate School of Education.

Over the past 20 years, I have worked professionally in different roles.  I’ve been a preschool teacher, an infant teacher, a director of a child care center, a volunteer mentor mom, and a director of newborn care services to name a few.  Regardless of the title or role, the common thread that weaves through my lifelong work is creating meaningful relationships with people. I strive to create safe places for people to share their hopes, dreams, worries, and anxieties and be seen and heard.     The postpartum period is near and dear to my heart.  Getting ready to have a baby, delivering, and bringing them home can be full of uncertainty and anxiety.  By partnering with a birth and postpartum doula, new parents have a dedicated support person who focuses on helping each parent feel confident, informed, and cared for. I wish I had that type of support with my deliveries.

I live in Foxboro with my husband, Rob, and our two daughters, Mykena and Adyson.  When not working, I love going for walks with friends, spending time at the pool, or best of all, laying in the sun at the beach!

2022 BIDMC Volunteer Recognition and Award Winner

BIDMC Volunteer Recognition and AwardsThe Rose award was established in 2004 in honor of Rose Finkelstein, and is given annually to an outstanding volunteer who has served for at least five years and whose role involves helping new mothers and/or newborns.

This year, we present the Rose Award to Bryn Yozzo. Bryn has been an awesome mentor and advocate for so many new parents in her volunteer role with the Parent Connection. She is an excellent listener, with a keen sense of when to offer support and reassurance, and when to encourage a new mom to listen to her own inner wisdom and advocate for herself. In the words of one of her mentees: “Bryn was so encouraging, warm and kind. I am someone who tends to be on the anxious side, so it really helped to hear her calm reassurance that I really was doing a good job, especially in my struggles in learning to breastfeed.” Bryn is also a wonderful support to her fellow mentors. She offers the perspective of almost 10 years as a mentor, sharing her insights and suggestions and resources to other newer mentors. She is a gem and we feel so lucky for all the years she has so generously given of her time and talent.

As a mother of three young children, and working full time, life is hectic. Bryn entered our lives 18 months as our nanny and she has been nothing but a blessing. My children adore her and she has become my “right hand man”. She goes above and beyond daily to accommodate the kids (and my) needs and is a vital part of our household. Bryn is a mother and knows what it takes to help us other moms. We are truly blessed to have her.
