We hired Bryn as a postpartum doula. We don't have family around, and we really needed support. From day 1, she made us feel completely comfortable and made our transition to parenthood seamless. Our baby arrived early, and our house was strewn with packages for the baby we didn't get time to unpack. Bryn got to it right away, and within an hour our home looked amazing—things back in place, baby items sorted systematically, my wife made comfortable, the baby relaxed.

Subsequently, Bryn and Lucy teamed up as our care providers. Our biggest ask was to help us learn to take care of the baby ourselves. Bryn and her team delivered admirably—they explained every detail, from the baby's behaviors to the stroller. We actually never felt that Bryn and her team were care providers—they felt like family. "I highly recommend NEDS to anyone looking for doula services. I'm not sure we would have survived these first few postpartum months without Bryn's support. We hired Bryn for overnight newborn care. I have Carrot Fertility benefits through my company and Bryn was incredibly knowledgeable about navigating that process. In the first few weeks postpartum we were dealing with a reflux baby, breast feeding issues due to an undiagnosed tongue tie and our 4 year old struggling to sleep due to the family transition. We were struggling through a special level of sleep deprivation that we didn't really experience with our first. Bryn connected me with an amazing lactation consultant who helped us solve a few issues - and Bryn gave us expert perspective that helped us figure out that our son had a milk protein allergy. All of that was on top of giving us full nights of sleep a few times a week! We're so grateful to Bryn for helping us get through these first couple of months and we've been recommending her to everyone we know."

Two things are of the highest importance when using a service like this:
1) That the newborn care is excellent, and

It’s a happy and sad moment, happy because our daughter has reached an important milestone, but then sad because this means I no longer get to see Melinda every day.
