A Newborn Care Specialist is a professional that provides support overnight so that the new parent can heal and recover by getting the rest they need. A newborn care specialist will guide and support new parents while nurturing and caring for the newborn. They are referred to by many names – baby nurse, newborn specialist, night nurse, or night nanny – but no matter how you call them, they are going to provide exceptional care to your newborn or baby so you can sleep!
When families contact us, sometimes they are asking for a night nurse, night nanny, or an overnight nurse. They hear terms from their friends or family and aren’t really certain what they mean exactly. They have a general understanding that they are looking for an overnight support person who helps with newborn care while the parents get some rest.
