Infant and Baby Sleep Consultations

At New England Doula Support, we know that quality sleep is important – not only for your infant, but for the well being of the entire family.  We are excited to support you wherever you may be along your infant’s sleep journey! New England Doula Support’s sleep consultant will collaborate with you to make sure your infant’s sleep plan feels like the right fit for your family and guide you through building your baby’s sleep independence at a comfortable rate.

We also believe that teaching healthy sleep habits comes in various shapes and sizes throughout your infant’s first 12 months of life. In the early newborn months, sleep shaping can be so helpful in establishing early routines and rhythms around both day and night sleep as well as providing a variety of soothing strategies appropriate during the 4th trimester. Formal sleep coaching is most often recommended when your baby is in the 4-6 month age range or older, depending on what feels best for your family. Our consultant is able to coach you and your infant to create independent sleep habits that fit your family and parenting beliefs by drawing from a variety of sleep coaching strategies.

Our sleep coaching services include:

  • Virtual sleep consultations
  • In-person sleep coaching
  • Individualized sleep plans based on your infant’s and family’s unique needs
  • Text & email support
  • Coaching to get your infant’s sleep independence started or back on track

Courtney P

Courtney Poirier

New England Doula Support Sleep Consultant

Courtney has over 18 years of experience caring for children ranging from infants to school aged.  She was an elementary school teacher for just under ten years before leaving to spend more time with her husband and sons. Shortly after leaving the classroom, she managed a small childcare in her home. This role gave her the opportunity to nurture the children in her care while consistently communicating and offering requested advice to parents regarding feeding and sleeping schedules as well as general developmental concerns. After closing her daycare, Courtney transitioned to the role of a newborn care expert and later a trained postpartum doula and infant sleep coach. It brings her such joy to provide support to families as they navigate the newborn stage of their baby’s life. Courtney’s extensive experience with newborn/infant care, sleep coaching, reflux, colic, and caring for multiples serves to put new families at ease as they navigate the fourth trimester.  Courtney is a trained CAPPA postpartum doula and a certified infant sleep professional. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys adventures with her family, practicing yoga, going for a run, or reading a good book.
